Terms of Service
Last updated: April 7, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Routely mobile app, related share/import tools, backend APIs, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
Who We Are
Routely is operated by Routely Travel ("Routely," "we," "us," or "our"). You can contact us at contact@routely.travel.
Accounts
By using Routely, you represent that:
- the information you provide is accurate and kept up to date;
- you are authorized to use any sign-in method connected to your account; and
- you will keep your login credentials secure and are responsible for activity under your account.
Using Routely
Routely is designed to help you plan trips, save places, collaborate with travelers, and organize travel ideas from links, text, and other imported content.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for your personal, non-commercial use.
User Content, Trips, and Imports
You may submit or create content through the Services, such as profile information, trip details, saved places, notes, votes, invite links, imported URLs, pasted text, and other travel content ("User Content").
You retain ownership of your User Content, but you grant Routely a license to host, store, reproduce, modify, and process it as needed to operate, improve, and provide the Services.
When you submit content, you represent that:
- you own the content or have the rights and permissions needed to share it with Routely;
- your content does not violate any law or any third-party rights;
- your content does not include malware, harmful code, or abusive material; and
- you understand that collaborative trip content may be visible to other trip members.
AI-Assisted Features
Routely may use AI-assisted tools and supporting extraction services to analyze imported links and text, identify places, organize travel information, and draft trip suggestions.
AI-generated outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate, and you are responsible for reviewing any suggestions before relying on them for travel decisions, bookings, timing, safety, or compliance.
Paid Features and Subscriptions
Some features may require a paid subscription or purchase. Billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are handled by the platform through which you purchased the subscription, such as Apple or Google, and are subject to that platform's terms and policies.
If you purchase a subscription, it may renew automatically unless you cancel through your app store account settings before the renewal date.
We may change pricing, features, or availability of plans from time to time, but material changes will apply prospectively.
Third-Party Services
The Services may rely on third-party providers and integrations, including authentication providers, map and place providers, analytics tools, cloud infrastructure, AI/model providers, and app stores.
We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or their independent terms, privacy practices, or content. Your use of third-party services may be governed by separate agreements.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use the Services in violation of applicable law;
- copy, scrape, reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the Services except where prohibited by law from restricting that activity;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or data;
- upload or submit content that is unlawful, infringing, abusive, deceptive, or harmful;
- use the Services to spam, harass, impersonate others, or distribute malware; or
- use the Services to build or train a competing service through unauthorized automated access or data extraction.
App Store Terms
If you download the Routely app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, you agree that those distributors are not responsible for providing maintenance or support for the app except as required by applicable law.
You also agree to comply with any applicable third-party terms when using the app, including your mobile carrier and app store terms.
Intellectual Property
Routely and its licensors own the Services, including the software, design, branding, text, graphics, and other content we provide, excluding User Content. These materials are protected by intellectual property and other applicable laws.
Except as expressly allowed in these Terms, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, license, or exploit any part of the Services without our prior written permission.
Service Changes and Availability
We may change, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Services at any time. We do not guarantee that the Services will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
Travel data, place details, imported content, and third-party integrations may change, expire, or become unavailable without notice.
Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk for other users, misused the Services, or if we are required to do so by law.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including sections about intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, and disputes, will survive.
Disclaimers
The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. Routely disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
Routely does not guarantee the accuracy of trip suggestions, maps, place information, imported content, routing, travel availability, pricing, or AI-generated outputs.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Routely and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, goodwill, data, or use, arising out of or related to the Services.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Routely's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to Routely for the Services in the 12 months before the claim arose or USD $100.
Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Routely and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and licensors from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of your User Content, your misuse of the Services, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
Privacy
Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and share information in connection with the Services.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and may provide additional notice where required.
